The Center for Rehabilitation and Extended Care (CREC), is a
120-bed, state-of-the-art facility offering a wide range of geriatric
and extended care to veterans who require inpatient care to address specific needs. The CREC is located adjacent to the Martinez Outpatient Clinic.

Driving Directions

From Highway 4 West

Take the Pine Street/Center Avenue exit. Turn left over the freeway and turn left again at the second light onto Muir Road. Continue on Muir Road for approximately 1/2 mile. The entrance to the Martinez VA Campus is located on the right. As you enter the campus, the CREC will be located on the right.

From Highway 4 East

Take the Pine Street/Center Avenue exit. Turn right and take an immediate left at the first light onto Muir Road. Continue on Muir Road for approximately 1/2 mile.

Cafeteria/Canteen

Visitors are welcome to eat in the CREC cafeteria/canteen, which is located in the main entrance hallway. We offer a variety of hot and cold entrees, beverages and desserts. Personal grooming items and snacks are also available. Vending machines, located just outside the cafeteria/canteen, are available 24 hours a day.
