Waiting area in the new Women's Health Clinic

Waiting area in the new Women's Health Clinic

Monday, December 10, 2012

VA Northern California Health Care System expects to announce the grand opening of the new Sacramento VA Medical Center Women’s Health Clinic in early 2013.

The goal of the clinic’s design is to present a non-institutional, calm, warm and friendly environment where women veterans can come to have all of their health care needs met and where they can relax and re-energize themselves.

In order to serve the healthcare needs of women Veterans in the Sacramento area, the clinic will be open to limited appointments until its completion.  Julie LaGuardia, the Women Veterans Program Manager says that the goal for the new clinic is to be a comprehensive primary care clinic which will serve approximately 1,200 patients at the Mather facility.  The clinic will offer integrated services which will include primary care, nutrition, pharmacy, mental health, gynecology, and social work. For more information about Women’s Healthcare at NCHCS, contact Julie LaGuarida at (925)372-2494.
